Some of the most beautiful gem and mineral treasures, are found in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Gemstones and minerals from these areas, have been marketed to Musuems, collectors, jewelers & hobbyist, since the early 60's. Mostly misrepresented from their actual origins, for reasons only well known to those who did the misrepresentations, thankfully this is no more the status quo.
Tourmalines from Pakistan and Afghanistan, in various shades of greens, pinks, blues, yellows & the equally beautiful various combinations of the bi & tri-colors, excel in quality in every respect, compared, to any other location in the world. Whether it is a single crystal or several crystals on the matrix with various combinations, makes it, truly every collector's dream to acquire.
Spodumene which is only found in Afghanistan ( for now ) presents itself in crystals and combination specimens with Kunzite and other minerals, are much sought after by collectors of fine minerals.
Pakistani Aquamarine is world famous for its pure icy blue hues, are brought to you, from some of the highest mountain peaks in the world. Amazing beautiful large crystals, some studded with ruby red Garnets to those on huge plates of Quartz, Feldspar, Mica and at times, associated with other gem crystals and minerals, are recognised to be the very best in the world.
Pakistan also produces some of the most exquisite Topaz gem crystals, in shades of champagne to vivid, almost golden orange huges. The rare pink Topaz is also produced in Pakistan, although not in the highest mountain peaks like the other colors, but at an elevation of about 1200 feet, in mines, just outside the city of Peshawar. The colors range from pastel pinks to a deeper strawberry pink.
Morganite is produced in Afghanistan and in Pakistan, in beautiful colors of pink and peach. Crystals in large sizes and with excellent clarity and those on matrix with Quartz and other minerals have been brought to the world market by our company.
Peridot was discovered in the mountains of Pakistan in 1994. Gem crystals, some as large as eggs and with exceptional clarity, were common during the initial discovery days, but almost unheard of, now a days. However, good size crystals are still available.
Lapis Lazuli, which was once supplied to the Pharos of Egypt 1000s of years ago, still adorn us today & it is still acquired from the same mine. No other country in the world has produced the rich, deep, royal blue Lapis Lazuli, like the fine quality that Afghanistan produces.
Rubies, whose colors, clarity & sizes out shine their counter parts from Myanmar, are produced in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The very finest Emeralds are produced in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The rich green hues, clarity and sizes of the crystals, can compete with materials from Columbia, Africa or any other origin.
Besides the aforementioned gem materials, there are several other types of minerals that are found in this mineral rich part of the world. Exceptional Fluorites, water clear large Quartz crystals, Epidotes and rare earth mineral specimens are also some of the other beautiful minerals found in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
No doubt this part of the world is truly blessed with a huge treasure trove.
It is a honour & privilege for us, to provide you with these fine gem crystals and mineral specimens, mostly directly, sourced at very competitive prices.
Rocksaholics L.L.C. was established in Dallas Texas, U.S.A. in the summer of 2004 by Mohammad Arif Jan & his wife Aisha.

Arif attended the prestigious Islamia Collage, University of Peshawar & graduated from the North West Frontier Province (N.W.F.P.) However, he decided to go into business for himself & successfully established an Import & Export business in Peshawar in the summer of 1993. Four years later he won the best export awards for the year 1997 & 1998.
He got involved in Trade Body Politics & was an active member of the. Sarhad Chamber of Commerce & Industry, at Peshawar. In 1997 & 1999 he was the Chairman of the "Fairs & Exhibitions Committee" of the All Pakistan Commercial Exporters Association (A.P.C.E.A) sponsored, Pakistan Gem & Mineral Show, which was held at Peshawar. In 1985, along with her two young children, she relocated her home and business base from Florida USA to Peshawar, Pakistan & established 'Pak Afghan Gem & Mineral Producers International Organization'. This involved setting up a data base of all who worked in the Gem & Mineral Industry in Pakistan & Afghanistan. She was very active in educating the miners from Afghanistan ( Most of whom were Mujhadeen 'Freedom Fighters' ) & marketed their Gems & Minerals, to the international markets very successfully. Since this was during the period of the occupation of Afghanistan by the former Soviet Union (1979-1989 ) she was featured on 'The CBS Evening News with Dan Rather' in 1987.
She has also been featured in a BBC documentary, 'Colors of the Rainbow' & interviewed by Jewelry News Asia in 1998. To her credit, is Pakistan's first Gem & Mineral Show 1994, which was organised by her with the collaboration of the Government of Pakistan and the local trade body association APCEA. This was held at a five star hotel in the city of Peshawar. Attendees came from the USA, Europe, Africa, India, China and from other cities in Pakistan. in the summer of 1994, Aisha had the privilege to identify Pakistan's very first discovery of the finest Peridot in the world. Two shepherds who had found these very large and flawless gems in the mountains of Kohistan, found their way to her office in Nimak Mandi, Peshawar, where she was based from 1985 to 2001.
She successfully marketed close to 100 kilos of the finest gem Peridot ( on behalf of the local producers) at the 1995 Tucson Show. The rest is history.
